DESCRIPTION:  Farmers Bank Building was transformed from a historic bank building into a LEED 21st-century workplace that retains the grandeur and elegance of the original bank building. Vault doors, teller windows and the original gold leaf ceiling were preserved and repurposed. Sustainable features were incorporated into the design including a photovoltaic array, ground source heating and cooling using chilled beams and abundant natural daylight strategies utilizing skylights and a solar tube halo. Nichols Booth Architects were the Design Architects and J.P. Copoulos, Architect was the Architect of Record.
