DESCRIPTION:  This 7,600 sq ft volunteer fire station building contains a three bay apparatus room and offices, restrooms and kitchen for the Fire District as well as providing a multipurpose room for training and public meetings. The mechanical system incorporates an in-the-floor heating system with hot water solar panels as the primary energy source. South facing windows with sun screens were used to provide passive solar energy and day lighting to minimize electrical demand.
